Walking through Cades Cove of Smoky Mountain National Park I stumbled upon a mom, dad, and two cub black bears enjoying berries on a warm fall night. They all were very relaxed hanging out in trees eating their last bit of calories for the day. The mom at one point ran off into the woods to check something out while dad watched the cub. Quickly after the mother returned and began eating berries in the tree pictured while I got to enjoy the last moments of this interaction before it got too dark.
