This was the second attempt of attempting this shot. The first night I was too late and the Milky Way had moved too quick across the sky. The second night I got it exactly where I wanted it. After I walked 4mi I made my way to this location where I could see Alpine Lakes, Medicine Bow Peak, and the Milky Way. This composition was fantastic to capture and the effort and risk was worth it. The stars were on another level that night and the small sliver of moon gave the foreground and the Snowy Mountain Range some extra detail.
