After sunrise I decided to go enjoy some relaxing time of watching the Yosemite Valley from a popular spot, Tunnel View. The clouds were shifting and the light was dramatic. For a little I watched the different light patterns explore the different granite crevasses and the trees below. While watching I slowly gained hope that the light would hit the most famous peak, El Capitan, and spotlight El Capitan’s face like it’s on stage. About an hour and a half in, the light struck exactly where I wanted, and Half Dome had finally broke through the clouds. This photograph is black and white to showcase the immaculate light I was fortunate to capture. This print would look nice large in any room as it has plenty of detail to get lost in or simply view from afar.
